Luc Jaulin was born in Nevers, France in 1967. He received the Ph.D. degree in automatic control from the University of Orsay, France in 1993 and the habilitation à Diriger des recherches degree in 2000.
He is currently full Professor of Robotics at the ENSTA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées) Bretagne, engineering school in Brest, France, since 2004.
He does his research on underwater robotics using interval methods and constraint propagation in the ROBEX team (ROBotics for Exploration) of Lab-STICC.
He is the co-author of more than 250 papers in international journals and congress.
He received the Moore in 2012 for his work on localization and map building of underwater robots using interval constraint propagation.
