Sandrine Vaton is a full professor at IMT Atlantique, in the Computer Science department. She is responsible for the Maths & Net research team of the Lab-STICC laboratory (UMR CNRS 6285). Maths & Net is one of the two research teams of the CYR (CyberSecurity and Networks) research pole of Lab-STICC.
Sandrine's research activities mainly concern machine learning for the analysis of data from telecommunication networks or cyber-physical systems. This analysis is applied to the measurement and optimization of performance (quality of service, availability) and to the detection of cyber attacks. From a methodological point of view, Sandrine develops and uses tools from the field of data analysis, with a particular interest in Markovian approaches.
Sandrine is also the director of the SPIN doctoral school (Engineering and Digital Sciences, doctoral school number 648). She is gender equality adviser at IMT Atlantique.
