Natalie Smith-Guerin is an assistant professor at the Universite de Bretagne-Sud (Lorient, France). She is part of Lab-STICC Laboratory, a CNRS-affiliated laboratory (UMR 6285), in the FHOOX team.
She teaches several aspects of logistics to students in the Quality, Industrial Logistics and Organization program at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) at Lorient.
She received a PhD degree in 2000 at INSA Lyon in Industrial Automation. We worked on the robotization of corneal grafting. Then she was an assistant professor at the Universite d’Orleans and PRISME laboratory and worked on the design of medical robots (methodology to design and optimize robot structures) and teleoperation.
Since 2020 she is an assistant professor at Lab-STICC and works on the design of robots taking into account human needs and the sharing of tasks between human and machine.
