Eric Rius is Professor at the University of Brest. He is the vice head of the Lab-STICC UMR CNRS 6285. His research conducted at the Lab-STICC, concerns the design of microwave passives devices for centimetric and millimetric wave applications. During 2014-2016, he was one of the leader TEAM of the Lab-STICC, DIM for « Multiphysic Interfaces and devices ». He was the coordinator of the two ANR projects RF-IDROFIL, dedicated to the design of MicRoFluIDic MillimetRic Sensors and Tunable ResOnators and FILters and COCORICO, dedicated to Cyclo Olefin Polymer (CO)-polymer (COC/COP) for the design of millimetric wireless components and associated autonomous sensors. He is in charge for Lab-STICC of the ANR (INFRA) ATOMIQ contract “Advanced Technologies fOr Millimeterwave Integrated filters in Q and V bands”; in parternship with, 2 laboratories XLIM UMR CNRS n°7252, SPCTS UMR CNRS n°7315, the CNES and 3 companies Thales Alenia Space, TFP and 3DCERAM. He is one of the co-founders of the spin-off, Elliptika, which works on the design, of custom microwave filters (space, defence ...). In 2010, he was the TPC chair of the 40th edition of the European Microwave Conference. (more than 5 000 attendees). He was appointed in May 2013, by the European Microwave Association, EuMA as European Microwave Lecturer. He supervised more than 20 PhD Students and several post-docs. He spent several months at Singapore as visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He participated to more 90 PhD jury defenses and 10 HDR jury defenses. h-number 20, more than 1770 citations, most cited paper: 224 citations.
