I work in formal linguistics, particularly syntax, with a specialization in Breton (a Celtic, Indo-European language) and comparative grammar, among the dialects of Breton but also dialectal French, Mixtec Chalcatongo, Gungbe, and the typology of so-called “second-verb” languages.

I am interested in open science, participative science, and in the automated processing of digitally underserved languages, which places me in the NLP research axis of the lab-STICC. I study how new technologies are received in languages where these technologies do not function properly,and  how to adress this problem in empowering communities, in order to reduce the negative social impact of the technological revolution on human linguistic diversity.

I have been developing the wiki-grammar of Breton dialects (ARBRES) since 2007, and the inventory of the languages of the French state and their resources (ENTRELANGUES) since 2010. I organise the Workshop On Breton/Brittonic Language Technologies (éditions 2024, 2025, 2026...). 

Some theoretical specializations in syntax : typology of second-verb languages, the syntax-morphology interface, impersonals, stylistic anteposition, the Extended Projection Principle (EPP), negative polarity items, collective nouns and singulatives, dialectology, and the grammar of unpronounced elements, or those realized through gestural modalities in spoken languages.
