Programme BIENVENÜE

The second call of the BIENVENÜE programme will be launched on 1st December 2021, with an application deadline on 15th February 2021 midnight. 25 postdoctoral fellowships of 24 months will be offered, for a beginning of funded research projects from September 2022.

The postdoctoral programme BIENVENÜE – “Welcoming highly-talented international postdocs in Brittany” aims to recruit 75 post-doctoral fellows. It is co-funded by the European Union (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions), Région Bretagne and partner research institutions for a total of 11 million euro. The recruitment is organized around 3 calls launched in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Research proposals are elaborated by the postdoctoral candidates on the theme of their choice, but should contribute to the Breton Research and Innovation Regional Smart Specialization Strategy – S3.

Eligible laboratories to host a BIENVENÜE fellow are administratively attached to at least one of the programme partner institutions: Agrocampus Ouest, IMT Atlantique, l’Inria, Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Université Bretagne-Sud, Université de Rennes 1, Université Rennes 2, Sorbonne Université – Station Biologique de Roscoff. They also should be located in Brittany. In accordance with Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions rules, the applicant must, at the deadline of the call, be in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience. He/she has not resided or carried out his/her main activity in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.
